The Sony Xperia Z3 will be water resistant same like it’s predecessor Xperia Z2, although the IP certification number is not known. The Xperia Z2 has IP58 rating, which allows the device to withstand a dunking to nearly 5 feet of water, for as long as 30 minutes. We expect the upcoming model will have an IP58 rating certification at the least. The handset will be available in black, white and amber.
