Skype 5.0 for Android can find your friends from phone contacts

Skype if one of the most popular forms of online communications. It is followed by a large group and has apps for every major platform. Today Skype rolling out updates, Skype 5.0 for Android which enables you to connect Skype to your phone address book.

How to find friends from phone contacts in Skype 5.0 for Android

This new update makes easier to find contacts you already know on Skype so you can start chatting, calling and sharing instantly. After you update your android app to Skype 5.0, in the coming months you will be ask to verify your number, which it will then use to allow other users to find you. The app will automatically look for contact matches between Skype and your address book. When matches are found, you’ll see new contacts show up in your Skype people list.

As privacy is main concern, there is an option to choose whether or not you want Skype to automatically add friends to your Skype people list. Also in your public profile, Your phone number will not be displayed, and you can even deactivate it if you wish not to be found in this way. Skype also gives assurance that once you connect your address book, they won’t spam your friends.


If you already has Skype than go to play store and update it to the latest version and those who don’t have can download from the Google Play Store, it’s free
